DK will be participating at The Gathering with a planned event and release of the warfare system.

Announcing The Gathering 2009!
June 27th at Huntington Beach Central Park, CA
Starts at 10am - all day event.

The Gathering is a LARP event where the local LARPers get together from different groups and games at a single place and time. Cross-LARP games, food, and vendors will be in abundance.

The Gathering works for the non-LARPing public as a “Job Faire”, where people interested in LARP can come and ask questions, see demonstrations or get in on the action themselves in a non-pressure and no cost environment for each of the LARP groups in our region.

Information on upcoming events will be available, as well as many LARPers promoting their group or system.

If you are a LARP owner, please have flyers available to us to bring to the Gathering, otherwise we invite you to attend and set up a booth!

If you are a LARPer, get out there and support the community and your groups!

If you are new to LARP, or want to learn more, please consider attending this event. We are holding it at Huntington Beach Central as a centralized point for most of the people on this Meetup system, and we hope you can make it out!

We are migrating over to using a dedicated email for downtime action request.  Please send your downtime action requests to “downtime@dyingkingdoms.com”.  Please do not send general game information requests or extended chats or conversations on this channel.  Send a single email with a title of your action, your character name and a clear description of the downtime action you wish to perform.  If you have multiple downtime actions per downtime, please send each action as a separate email.

We are also instituting a hard deadline for downtime action requests.  If you would like to receive responses to your downtime actions in game you MUST send your requests two weeks prior to game start.  Thanks for your cooperation.  This new system will help to improve the overall downtime process and make it easier for your actions to be processed correctly

DK will have a table at The Gathering and will be showcasing a small mod that may also affect the world in play. Come in your costume, participate, meet other LARPers and try other games.

“Heat”
A striking heat wave overtakes the land, bringing famine and
pestilence in its wake. Simple problems become increasingly dangerous
as the heat dries up wells, kills livestock, and leaves people too
exhausted to struggle. But struggle they must, as problems mount and
require difficult resolutions - especially when someone claims credit
for the heat wave.
