The August Event, ‘The Stelae and Fire People’ is almost upon us. In order to enter the site you will need the gatecode: *8985 . Directions to the site are here.
Online Registration Closed
We have prepared the registration sheet to bring on site and have shut down online registration. If you plan to register in person, at the game, see Rob, or Liz at NPC camp.
All players and NPCs should see Rob or Liz at NPC camp when you arrive. You will check your name on the list (if you have preregistered) or pay the fee, then they will hand you your character packet. We will try to get a few other staff members involved in this process so there will always be someone able to check you in. Jess will be busy with plot, so ask for Liz or Rob.
Onsite registration prices are $45 for the full event (PC). $30 for single night (PC) or $15 for NPC of any length. The feast, (getting fed Saturday night and Sunday morning) is an additional, optional $15 that goes to Davy or Randy.
We are accepting online event registration all the way up until the day of the event. When we leave to go set up the site and make arrangments, we will close online registration and put a notice up here. At that point, come to the site with cash. Event registration is here.
You can arrive at the site as early as 2pm on Friday, though official game start will probably be around 7pm or so, depending upon when the bulk of people are able to arrive. Some plot will continue all the way through Sunday morning. We will probably have a flexible pack out time.
Bear in mind, when you arrive on Friday, there will be scouts on the site as well. We will be setting up at the campsites furthest away from where they are. They will be leaving early saturday morning. We’ll try to post signs or some people in the parking lot to let you know where we are parking and where we are setting up camp, though most likely it will be in the area of the campsites that campers used last game, past the pool and shower rooms.
Some specific instructions re: traffic on the roads coming in, from Rob:
“The road past the gate is one lane and very narrow. Please drive slow on this road. At night because the road has a lot of hairpins and you cannot see far. During the day because there are bikers and hikers on the road. The Camp Ranger has even mentioned that you could honk your horn while driving on the road – during the day – to let people on the road know you are coming. The Ranger, Joe, is very good to us and he had a complaint about speeding coming into the campgroup last time – so please drive safe and slow on the road. Let’s try to keep Joe happy. The campground closes at night, so please try to keep driving to a minimum after 9pm.”
There is a forum thread here with other information. If you need a ride, a tent to crash in, have a spare tent or extra room in your car, check this thread.
