Here’s the short list of updates. IMPORTANT! You should be familiar with these changes! Some of them affect how you can be injured by certain attacks (poison and disease); there is also now a damage cap in play! (I don’t generally have a problem with defenses outrunning attacks in melee combat so that you have to land several hits on the tough signature enemies, like land krakens).
Summer 2009
- Updated most Traits to refresh with rest.
- Updated rules for using talismans (Marshal’s Guide).
- Removed Master Mighty Blows. All Mighty Blows now function with all weapons with which you have the appropriate skill.
- Specified that Dodge defends against equipment-affecting strikes such as Disarm and Shatter Shield, which are not protected against by Parry.
- Included rules for entering play as a higher order caster, above first order.
- Changed progression costs for higher order magical talents (Marshal’s Guide).
- Updated several heritage powers to refresh with rest.
- Updated retirement guidelines.
- Added five-hit damage cap for strikes.
- Clarified that poison and disease does take effect if it hits skin or toughness but not if stopped by armor.
