Skyler found herself in the city of crypts, or rather to be more specific, sitting in a pub inside the city with a mug in her hand, enjoying the feeling of alcohol dulling her senses. Covered in dirt from traveling alone and a few patches of dried blood from fights, patrons inside tended to leave the young nomad alone. When a stranger however would notice her and attempt to engage in a conversation, she would glare at with bloodshot eyes until they left her alone.
Skyler lifted the mug to her lips, to her surprise, found it empty. She waived to a passing waitress for another mug, continuing to ignore the bustle around her as she continued to drink.July 31, 2012 at 11:34 am #10859
A bartender comes by and replaces her empty mug of beer with some honeyed water. She mumbles something about it being hot outside, and water being the life of all things and walks off to help another customer.August 1, 2012 at 12:34 am #10861
Not really noticing the words being spoken she absently picks up the mug and lifts it to her lips. She scowled at the mug and the waitress realizing that it was water and not beer. However she did drain it dutifully and stood up, even if a bit wobbebly. Her swords which were resting on the side of the table were taken and after a couple of tries, were setteled on her hips, keeping an eye on the occupents as if daring them to comment about her state or marking her as an easy target.August 2, 2012 at 1:40 am #10872
Perhaps it’s the alcohol or perhaps it’s the heat, but Skyler feels a hazy, familiar presence brush the edge of her consciousness. Sensing a willingness to correspond, the presence intensifies and a friendly voice whispers directly into her mind, “Skyler. I am glad to find you… well… and somewhat sober. The heroes have begun to return from their quests to activate the towers of Suleiman. Seek my brother, Beshir, in Heriatis. He, too, would speak more of these endeavors, and I expect the Light will soon begin to guide more of our allies together to share news of these journeys.”August 6, 2012 at 2:12 am #10888
As Skyler reached for her bag she paused in mid motion as she heard Yoel’s voice. :I must be going mad: she thought silently to herself. Then with a shake of her head she slung her red and gold bag on to her back and made out towards the exit.
Outside the sun glared brightly and Skyler took a step to the side of the door so she wouldn’t block the entrance way, waiting for her eyes to adjust to the sudden shift in light. It was hot and the heat of the her home country was always a welcome while others, outsiders sought shade and rest. Skyler covered her head with her burnt yellow face wrap/scarf and decided to confirm her suspicions if Yoel did speak to her in her head or at last she has finally gone crazy. If it was true, well, she would have to remind him its rude to go rummaging through others peoples head.
With that last thought she began to make her way towards Heriatis.
